He did the old Bobby Allison 8 tires is better than 4 move. He was at least along side him when the contact was made and didn't just flat out dump him.

Seriously. This has been the best season in quite a few years. I was concerned about the new format but its definitely caused teams to go balls to the wall each week and means you have to consistently run up front at all times. There is still the possibility of a winless champ which would suck but it could have happened under any system that was put in place. I mean, when Kenseth won his championship, he won 1 race and it was the third race of the season, so he pretty much was winless for over 90% of the season.

I remember that year, Matt started to points race in May to win the championship. Ironically enough, people complained that Newman should have won the championship because he won the most races that season. I didn't think I would like the current format but I can't argue with the on track results.
